Lt. Governor Newsom and Jennifer Siebel Newsom to Lead We Day California
(San Jose) - California Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom and Jennifer Siebel Newsom will address an estimated 16,000 young activists and 600 schools as the co-chairs of We Day California, in San Jose tomorrow.
We Day is the flagship event of the year-long We Act program, a blueprint to raise a generation of active global citizens in cities across the US, Canada, and the UK.

Taking the philanthropic world by storm with events in the US, Canada and the UK throughout the 2014-2015 school year, over 200,000 young people will come together at gatherings in 14 cities to take part in this unprecedented educational initiative.
Together, We Day and We Act offer free educational resources, student-led campaigns and support materials to help turn the event's inspiration into sustained action. Participants commit to take one local and one global action and report back on their commitments in order to earn their ticket to We Day.
